Languages
Singapore officially recognizes English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil as its languages. Beyond these, you’ll encounter a diverse array of other languages spoken across the country. English classes are widely available in colleges. If you plan to study in a language other than your native tongue, you’ll likely need to demonstrate proficiency. If you don’t meet the requirements, you may benefit from a language course. Even if you study in English, living in Singapore offers a great chance to pick up multiple languages. Practicing with locals and fellow students is a valuable way to achieve this. Being bilingual is a valuable skill to highlight on your CV or resume.
